Thesis:

Transition : Ladies and Gentlemen
Introduction
1.      What is global warming?
Is the climate warming? The impacts of global warming will be felt across the globe. So, What is global warming? Global warming is the gradual increase of the temperature of earth's atmosphere and oceans.
We know global warming is a serious problem which has encountered our planet since the middle of 20th century. Global Warming is mostly related to human activities. Most of our activities give big impact to the earth. Take a simple example, when we are riding our motorcycle, we contribute for the air pollution which is also one of several factors that support global warming.
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans. According to a report by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), global surface temperature increased 0.18 °C during the 20th century.
Global Warming and related changes will vary from region to region around the globe, though the nature of these regional variations is uncertain. As a result of contemporary increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide, the oceans have become more acidic; a result that is predicted to continue.

In Indonesia, the most clear prove that global warming really existing is the extreme weather that has happened since four or five years ago. The uncertain weather cannot be predicted as usual. Besides, we can also find that in big cities, such Jakarta and Yogyakarta, the temperature is hotter in drought season.

Indonesia which is located in around the equator line seems to get the biggest impact of the extreme weather changing. In 1998, Indonesia has became the country with the hottest temperature and it may continue in the future.

Transition: the first point have been discussed, let’s go to the second point.
2.      What Causes It?
-          Green house effect
The greenhouse effect is the natural process by which the atmosphere traps some of the Sun's energy, warming the Earth enough to support life. Most mainstream scientists believe a human-driven increase in "greenhouse gases" is increasing the effect artificially. These gases include carbon dioxide, emitted by fossil fuel burning and deforestation, and methane, released from rice paddies and landfill sites
-          The air pollution
Smog hanging over cities is the most familiar and obvious form of air pollution. But there are different kinds of pollution—some visible, some invisible—that contribute to global warming. Generally any substance that people introduce into the atmosphere that has damaging effects on living things and the environment is considered air pollution.
-          Illegal logging
llegal logging is linked to deforestation (and therefore climate change).  Harvesting timber in violation of a country's laws may mean conversion to non-forest land uses,  harvesting at rates inconsistent with agreed limits, or in protected areas.
-          Eating meat
By eating meat we are killing the planet little by little. Since meat comes from farm transporting the food is no easy task.
      i.  According to  an article released in 2011 on acoolerclimate.com states that the average meal on your plate in the US has traveled 2000 miles to get to you
ii. Also, it takes more energy to produce meat than it does vegetarian fare. A farms market is a easy green way to get your fresh  vegetables. They come from local farmers meaning that your food did not travel as much
iii. the population keeps increasing  which is causing the meat industry to rise. This will cause more animals to be killed and more fossil fuels to be burned. From the machines being used in factories that cut meat to the gasoline being used in trucks. There is a lot of damage being done to the planet by just transporting meat.

-          Electricity
now lets discuss the second major cause of global warming, which is increased electricity use).- A.electricity comes from burning fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are composed of by Ed dead plants and animals.
     i. In an article on  the  national  geographic magazine published in 2009 indicates that 40%  of electricity is being waisted on every American home.
ii. Leaving you phone charger, the tv,and computer plugged causes the electricity to continue running. Turning the electronic off with just a remote just outs it on stand by not off.
iii.On  an average day one person consumes a lot of electricity. Count every time you use electricity. From turning on the light to charging you phone, you will realize that it just takes one person to cause some harm so imagine how much damage the other 3 billion people are causing

Transition: happy brother and sister
3.       What Effects does Climat Change have on the Earth and its Inhabitants?
-          Increasing temperature in the sea levels
-          Extreme weather events
-          Species extinctions
-          Changes in agricultural yields
Global warming has already started to affect the earth in several ways.
Arctic glaciers have begun to melt, threatening indigenous life such as the polar bears. Melting glaciers also cause sea levels to rise. This could become a problem for low land areas like the ones in the South Sea Islands.
Ocean temperatures have begun to rise. This causes some of the algae to die which can affect the entire food chain.
Transition: happy audience
4.      What are some Possible Solutions to the Problem?
-          Clean Air Act of 1990 is a law in the United States that attempts to protect and improve the earth's air and atmosphere.
-          limiting harmful vehicle emissions and phasing out the use of chemicals that can damage the ozone layer.
-          we can work to prevent global warming by planting trees and carpooling.
Conclusion
Climate change is seen as a serious threat that is receiving serious attention world-wide. Hopefully, this global warming speech has helped inform you of what causes it and the effects that it has on the earth. It's up to you to decide what to do about it, if anything. We may not think it’s something import  but every action we make affect the future if our children and our grandchildren
