KPK SHOULD BE DISMISSED

Corruption Eradication Commission or we know as KPK is one of the independent goverment agenc which break down corruption case. But recently according some politicians KPK has been decreased at work.“It is better to dissolve the KPK if the selection committee cannot get credible candidates to lead the war on corruption. It is a waste of time and energy if the KPK is led by untrustworthy commissioners like what has occurred,” said Marzuki ali to Jakarta post in Jakarta Thu, August 04 2011, 9:38 PM. So, Kpk as a government agency must be dismissal  because it doesn’t work in the right way.

            The   Indonesian   Corruption   Eradication   Commission,   or   better   known   as   KPK   in Indonesia, was established in 2003. The impetus to create KPK was the economic crises during   1997,   which   subsequently   also   led   to   the   downfall   of   President   Soeharto.   KPK was established to combat the extraordinary crime of corruption in Indonesia, which is rampant, systemic, and affecting the lives of practically everyone in the country. During the   crises,   there   was   a   sense   that   drastic   measures   were   needed   to   tackle   corruption,  which contributed to the country’s difficulties.

            Judging from the authority of the Commission is a state agency that is independent in carrying out the duties and powers free from any influence of power but the duty after becoming State agencies praised the Indonesian people do not bring results in performing duties as an Independent State agencies , various cases of corruption just disappeared . By analyzing the cases unresolved by the Commission , the Commission should have been dissolved in order to not only spend the budget but were not able to fully investigate corruption cases  We can take the example of the Century case just disappeared . Of the many unresolved cases of corruption and just disappear , it is clear that the Commission is affected by the powers that the Commission does not have the power to run the authority that is free from the influence of any power . KPK MUST immediately disband . What was dissolved ? A state agency depending on the contents ( of the office holders ) , name of an institution is not so important , the most important is management or mismanagement . Facts on the field a lot of people decide that KPK officials are the ones who are dirty or in other words he is also enjoying the results of corruptions State Officials . Thus it can be concluded that the officials should be dissolved is the Commission , not the Board of State Institutions .

            Firstly, most of people appreciate to KPK’s work to against and breakdown corruption case. But unfortunately they do not realize that there are lot of case those disappear. Take some example, a corruption case in Century, in Hambalang project, cases of corruption bribery meat imports and etc. According to the Criminal Law Experts Parahyangan University Pohan Augustine, the Commission has not succeeded or on the verge of failure in uncovering cases of the Century. There are two factors that led to the failure potential, ie whether there are weaknesses in the Commission are not serious and focused to handle it or because of the complexity of the case is so difficult to express.

Reactions to Marzuki`s statement proposing the dissolution of the KPK and forgiveness for corrupters came among others from non-governmental organizations (NGOs), politicians, even the House factions, and religious figures. According to Nurkholis, the statement made by the House speaker could be considered as support for corrupters who would obviously be the most happy if the KPK was liquidated.  Although Marzuki has admitted that it was his personal opinion, what he has said would certainly have a negative impact on the image and credibility of all members of parliament.

According to Marzuki’s statement that produce a lot of pro and con. Actually KPK does not need to be dismissal. If  will be dismissal, of course in this country will growth Corruptors fastly and fertilizerly. It’s very embrassing. Make e mistake is common, so if KPK have a lot of mistake and weakness it does not need to dismissal but it needs a changing and evaluation.
