The component of drama

1.      Theme          :

·         love (in this drama shows that Jimmy express his feeling/love to Shelly)

·         friendship (in this drama shows that Sarge was helping Jimmy by telling Jimmy what Shelly’s want from Jimmy)

2.      Characteristic   :

·         Jimmy       :

o   brave(when Jimmy come to Shelly and he brave to express his felling)

o   like drink (in dialogue: “i guess i had a little to much to drink”, said Jimmy)

o   never give up (Jimmy try to get Shelly’s love using many way such as stop drinking)

·         Shelly:

o  doubtfull (in the dialogue “I really love him, Jamie, but sometimes... sometimes he can be such a creep”,said Shelly.)

o  emphaty (although Shelly still sleepy but she still want to see Jimmy)

·         Jamie        :

o    easy going friend (she is concerned with Shelly and she has always supported Shelly)

o    always gives advices (like in this dialogue “There's a lot better guys in the world. Once you get out of here, you'll see that”, said jammie to Shelly )

·         Sarge        :

o    wise (he gives positive advice to Jimmy)

3.      Setting    :

a)      location/place: in the an old farm house in the desert (contained in prologue)

b)      time : dawn (contained in prologue)

4.      Point of view  : omnicent (because the author know about the feelings of the morethan one character. Ex: Jimmy’s feeling and Shelly’s feeling )

5.      Plots    :

a)      exposition   : introduction the characters and the situation Jimmy look for Shelly

b)      raising action : Jimmy meet jamie first and then met Shelly. Shelly felt annoyed because of Jimmy’s come

c)      climax       : Shelly throwing the Jimmy’s ring, Jimmy begin angry

d)     falling action : sarge come and ask what happen in girls room, but Shelly and jamie didn’t tell it.

e)      Resolution : sarge met with Jimmy, they were sharing their problem and give solution each other.

6.      Message/moral value :

-From this short drama we can learn that where there is a will, there is a way. Like as Jimmy, He really wants to make a relationship with Shelly but Shelly always reject him. Jimmy never give up to reach his dream.

-We can also immitate what Sarge’s does to Jimmy, as a good friend he gives a suggestion each other.

7.      Conflict:

·         Internal conflict :

o   Jimmy know the reason why Shelly was doubt of himself, he wants to become  a good boy but he still drunk (in the dialogue: “So are you willing to give something up for Shelly?”, said sarge to Jimmy. And Jimmy said “ like what?”, “drinking maybe”,said Sarge)

o   She loves Jimmy too, but she wants to changing of Jimmy’s attitude. ( in the dialogue: “I really love him, Jamie, but sometimes... sometimes he can be such a creep”, said Shelly and But she really likes you and if she wanted to be with you she'd find a way. The more I'd tell Shelly she can't see you, the more she'd find times to sneak away”, said sarge)

·         External conflict : Jimmy love Shelly but Shelly still doubt of him. (in this dialogue : I just want a little love”, said Jimmy. And Shelly reply “What you need is a cold shower and some coffee” and which indicates that  Shelly still doubt to Jimmy contained in this dialogue “I really love him, Jamie, but sometimes... sometimes he can be such a creep”,said Shelly)
